I could write a book!

One of my clients went into a very long and involved lifetime. It began with her as a young boy waiting in the desert for a tall being from another land. In exchange for goats the being gave him a basket of berries which the boy carried many miles and gave to an old woman living in a cave. He went from a little boy running errands to a young man doing an apprenticeship with this elderly shaman. The story went on as he fell in love and fathered a child. When the shaman died, he buried her body deep in the mountain and replaced the old woman. During this time, the desert people and the jungle people could not live very long in each other’s lands, but communicated through the exchange of herbs and fruit. By the end of the story, the daughter of the new male shaman was able to visit the jungle lands and live there without any problems. This was the beginning of a reconciliation between the two types of people.

It’s hard to do this story justice, as it took 2 hours for my client to recount it. (Don’t worry, most other lifetimes take much less time to describe.) When the session was over, the client said to me, “Wow, I either had an amazing lifetime, or I could write a book.” Of course, I told her that it doesn’t really matter which of those is true. What’s important is the lessons learned from exploring that particular life.
